On May 19, 2026, the President signed into law three bills on conservation, small business investment, and Native land entitlements.

H.R. 972, the “Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act,” expands the boundaries of the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area in Clark County, Nevada. It also directs the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management to grant rights-of-way to the Southern Nevada Water Authority to build a water transmission pipeline and related facilities serving the Las Vegas Valley.

H.R. 2066, the “Investing in All of America Act of 2025,” adjusts the maximum outstanding leverage for Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs). It excludes from leverage cap calculations SBIC investments made in small businesses located in low-income or rural areas, as well as investments in small manufacturers and businesses focused on critical technologies.

H.R. 2815, the “Cape Fox Land Entitlement Finalization Act of 2025,” waives the requirement under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act for the Cape Fox Village Corporation to receive certain federal land for settlement. Instead, it authorizes the Corporation to select other previously identified land.
