Kids’ Athletics is among the largest grassroots sports development initiatives globally. Launched in 2002 and updated in 2021, the programme enhances inclusivity, adaptability, and enjoyment for children and those guiding them.

Implemented by more than 150 Member Federations, Kids’ Athletics has reportedly engaged over 13 million children and young people worldwide.

Designed for children aged four to 14, Kids’ Athletics provides easy-to-use resources for coaches, teachers, volunteers, and parents who want to involve children in enjoyable athletics-based activities. The programme supports both those delivering athletics and individuals involved in various sports and physical activities.

The activities develop fundamental movement skills through social and fun games, introducing children to a range of athletics disciplines and competition.

Core values include respect, determination, friendship, and pride—qualities encouraged throughout participation.

Kids’ Athletics aspires to create a global movement that puts children at the center of athletics and promotes physical fitness within communities. Interested participants can register to join the global community for free resources and opportunities.
