A meeting chaired by Saubhagya Pradhananga, Director-General of the Department of Archaeology, brought together managers from Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares, Changu Narayan Municipality, municipal representatives, and national and international experts to review heritage preservation progress in Kathmandu Valley. The discussions focused on achievements from a decade of reconstruction and renovation, as well as lessons learned in transitioning from post-disaster recovery to long-term heritage management. According to the statement, the next phase will involve completing outstanding technical reviews, finishing the remaining recovery work, adopting the Integrated Management Framework, and further strengthening the capacity of site managers and authorities responsible for conserving the World Heritage property and its monument zones.
