Australia has named a record 75 athletes for the World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26, scheduled for 5-9 August. This marks the country's largest team in the history of the global U20 event.

Standout athletes include 18-year-old Gout Gout, who claimed 200m silver in Lima in 2024 and set a world U20 200m record with a time of 19.67 seconds in Sydney. Gout is set to compete in the 200m and the 4x400m relay.

Izobelle Louison-Roe, another 18-year-old silver medallist from Lima in the high jump, is listed for both the high jump and triple jump and will decide her event participation closer to the competition. She has cleared 1.95m this year.

Other returning medallists include long jump bronze medallist Mason McGroder and race walker Isaac Beacroft, who won the U20 10km race walk at the 2024 World Race Walking Team Championships in Antalya and finished second in Brasília. Beacroft will compete in the 5000m race walk in Oregon.

The team covers a wide range of events. Female athletes are entered in sprints, middle and long distance, hurdles, jumps, throws, heptathlon, and relays, while male athletes will compete in sprints, middle and long distance, hurdles, and race walks.
