UEFA is embedding sustainability into every aspect of the 2025-26 club competition finals, hosted in Budapest, Istanbul, Leipzig, and Oslo. This effort aims to create lasting positive social and environmental impacts, in alignment with UEFA's sustainability strategy, by integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) measures throughout event planning and execution.

For all finals, UEFA will continue initiatives to raise awareness of food-related carbon emissions in partnership with Just Eat Takeaway, building on carbon labeling practices introduced at the 2024 Champions League final. UEFA will measure carbon footprints using its Carbon Calculator and manage a Fund for Mitigating Carbon Emissions, prioritizing investments in credible climate mitigation over traditional offsetting. Accessibility remains a focus, with audio-descriptive commentary provided for blind and partially sighted spectators.

The 2025 UEFA Champions League final at Puskás Aréna will highlight enhanced sustainability efforts centered on circular economy principles, including improved waste management and recycling of stadium signage and branded materials. A food donation program with venue caterers will also aim to reduce food waste.
