Luis Enrique became the seventh coach to win the UEFA Champions League with multiple clubs after Paris Saint-Germain's 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the 2025 final in Munich. This was Enrique's second Champions League title, his first having come with Barcelona in 2015 in Berlin, where Barcelona defeated Juventus 3-1. By doing so, Enrique joined an exclusive group of coaches—Ernst Happel, Jupp Heynckes, Ottmar Hitzfeld, José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and Pep Guardiola—who have led two different clubs to European Cup victory.

In total, 21 coaches have won the European Cup/Champions League more than once, but only four have won it more than twice. Luis Enrique is now positioned to become a three-time winner when Paris Saint-Germain face Arsenal in the 2026 final.

Carlo Ancelotti remains the most successful coach in European Cup history with five titles, including victories with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007 and with Real Madrid in 2014, 2022, and 2024. Ancelotti also holds records for reaching five finals and for winning the Champions League four times as a coach before extending these in 2024.

Other coaches with three or more titles include Pep Guardiola, Bob Paisley, and Zinédine Zidane. Ancelotti is also notable for winning the trophy with multiple teams and as both a player and coach.
